This tutorial was made in PSP X4, but can also be made in the other versions.
For this tutorial you need Animation Shop
and the following plugins:
Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Extrude
Custom plugin - Emboss_3 (place it in your Presets folder)
You can download the plugins

Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.
If you have to install plugins, you have to restart your PSP, so they work immediately.

It contains: 5 tubes - 1 color label - 1 mask.

The tubes are by Magnifique Ger and Nicole.
The mask is by Narah.
The other tubes are unknown to me.

Step 1
Open the tubes, the color label and the mask in PSP - minimize them for now.
Set your foreground color to #ffeee8 (or at your choice).
Set your background color to #211730 (or at your choice).
Open a transparent image of 1000 x 650 pixels.
Flood fill your image with your background color.
Step 2
Layers - New mask layer - From image -
find mask 'Narah_mask_0417' - with these settings:

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).
Effects - Custom plugin - Emboss_3 - default settings - see image below:

Step 3
Activate your Text tool - font Sci Fied X - Size 72 - with these settings:

Switch your colors (you can change the color later by plugin Extrude).
Type number 2.
Layers - Convert to raster layer.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Extrude -
Tab Settings - choose setting 'Magnifique-Ger' - tab Basic - here you can choose
the color you want or the foreground color - see images below:
 
Place it a little down.
Image - Rotate - Free rotate - Left - 20 - nothing checked.
Step 4
Copy tube 'Element_magnifiqueGer 1'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place it on the right side of number 2.
Step 5
Activate your Text tool - font Sci Fied X - Size 72 - same settings.
Type number 1.
Layers - Convert to raster layer.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Extrude - same settings
as before.
Image - Rotate - Left - 20 - nothing checked.
Place it on the right side of tube 'Element_magnifiqueGer 1'.
Step 6
Activate your Text tool - font Sci Fied X - Size 72 - same settings.
Type number 4.
Layers - Convert to raster layer.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Extrude - same settings
as before.
Image - Rotate - Right - 20 - nothing checked.
Place it on the right side of number 1.
Step 7
Copy tube 'vuurpijlen'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place this layer below layer 1.
Image - Resize - 110% - All layers not checked.
Step 8
Copy tube 'Nicole`s-Scrapspecial-HappyNewyear-el_8'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place it on the left side.
Image - Mirror.
Lower the Opacity of this layer to 70.
Place this layer below layer 1.
Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.
Step 9
Copy tube 'Element_MagnifiqueGer 2'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Step 10
Activate your bottom layer.
Copy tube 'sterne'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Move it a little down and a little to the right - see main image.
Step 11
Layers - New raster layer.
Add your name and/or watermark.
Layers - Convert to raster layer.
If you are satisfied with your crea:
Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).
Edit - Copy.
Step 12
To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.
Effects - Insert text effect - Marquee - with these settings:

You can change the color and the font size.
Type in the text box: Happy New Year - see image below:

Press OK - you're back in your first window.
If you want to change the color, press on the little color box and choose your a
color.
Press Customize - see image below:

You now see image below:

You can also change the number, till you like it.
Animation - Frame properties: 23.
Step 13
View - Animation.
You now can see how your animation looks.
If you are satisfied:
Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!
