This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

For this tutorial you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugins:

Ulead Effects Gif-X 2.0 - Light

Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Stain

You can download the plugins

Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.

you can download the materials.

It contains: 6 tubes - 1 texture - 1 mask.

Place the texture in your Texture folder.

Permission to use the tubes

The tubes are by Datascha, Guismo and Heidi's Design.

The mask is by Narah.

Step 1

Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #9aa286 (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #4f4e4e (or at your choice).

Open a transparent image of 700 x 500 pixels.

Flood fill your image with your background color.

Step 2

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with your foreground color.

Layers - New mask layer - From image - load mask 'Narah_mask_Abstract042' - with these settings:

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Effects - Texture effects - Texture - find texture '1217493593_textures' - with these settings:

Step 3

Copy tube '071126195502_62'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Mirror.

Image - Resize - 2x 80% - All layers not checked.

Place it on the left side and a little up - see main image.

Set the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).

Step 4

Copy tube 'woman hsk 2011 171'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 2x 80% - All layers not checked.

Place her on the left side - see main image.

Layers - Duplicate.

Layers - Merge - Merge down.

Step 5

Copy tube 'calguisvectordecor12110'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 2x 80% - All layers not checked - repeat 1x with 90%.

Place it in the lower right corner.

Step 6

Copy tube 'diivhsk- 2011-59'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 80% - All layers not checked.

Place it in the upper right corner.

Set the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).

Step 7

Copy tube 'diivhsk- 2011-57'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 2x 80% - All layers not checked.

Place it upper right.

Set the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 55.

Step 8

Copy tube 'calguissea17910'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 3x 80% - All layers not checked.

Place it right below - see main image.

Set the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 4 - Opacity 65 - Blur 6 - color black.

Step 9

Activate your background layer.

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Stain - foreground and background color - with these settings:

(click on the little dark square to set the Stain color to your background color.)

Step 10

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Image - Resize - Width 518 pixels.

Step 11

Selections - Select all.

Effects - Plugins - Ulead Effect Gif-X 2.0 - Light.

Click now on Effect Halo.

At Body color and Glow color you can change the color as you like - with these settings:

Save it in your folder for this lesson - it automatically save it as a gif file.

Selections - Select none.
