This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

For this lesson you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugins:

Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Glass

Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation

You can download the plugins

Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.

If you have to install plugins, you have to restart your PSP, so they work immediately.

you can download the materials.

It contains: 6 tubes - 1 selection - 1 mask - 1 preset.

Place the selection in you Selection folder.

Double click the preset, it's automatically in your plugin.

The tubes are by me, Nara Pamplona and NP.

The other tubes are unknown to me.

Step 1

Open the tubes and the mask in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #c3a698 (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #562008 (or at your choice).

Open tube 'achtergrond City Girl', this is your working image.

Step 2

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with your background color.

Layers - New mask layer - From image - find mask 'Narah_mask0117' - with these settings:

Layers - Merge - Merge group.

Set the Blend mode of this layer to Multiply.

Step 3

Copy tube 'Element 2 vloer magnifiquegerrie'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Step 4

Layers - New raster layer.

Selections - Load/save selection - Load selection from disk - load selection 'Ger sel 14' - with these settings:

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 2 - Opacity 100 - Blur 40 - black.

Selections - Select none.

Layers - Duplicate - Image - Flip.

Layers - Merge - Merge down.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Change the Blend mode of this layer to Multiply.

Step 5

Copy tube 'TubeNP 1149'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Change the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).

Step 6

Copy tube 'Element 1magnifiquegerrie'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 1 - Opacity 45 - Blur 5 - foreground color.

Step 7

Activate layer 4 (the city layer).

Click on your Selection tool.

Custom selection - with these settings:

Layers - Convert selection to layer.

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Glass - preset Gerglass - see image below:

Selections - Select selection borders - with these settings:

Effects - 3D effects - Chisel - color #551f08 - with these settings:

Selections - Select none.

Change the Blend mode to Luminance (L).

Image - Resize - 95% - All layers not checked.

Place it on the left side, in the middle.

Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.

Layers - Merge - Merge down.

Activate layer 4 (the city layer).

Image - Mirror.

Move it a little up and very slightly to the right - see main image.

Step 8

Copy tube 'TubeNP 1151'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place her on the left side.

Image - Resize - 60% - All layers not checked.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 1 - Opacity 45 - Blur 5 - color #c3a698.

Step 9

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Step 10

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 4 pixels - foreground color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric not checked - color #551f08 - with these settings:

Activate your Magic wand - Outside checked - with these settings:

Select the last border with your Magic wand.

Selections - Invert.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 0 - Opacity 100 - Blur 50 - foreground color.

Selections - Select none.

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

Step 11

Activate your Freehand selection - Point to point.

Select a part of the city.

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - with these settings:

Selections - Select none.

Edit - Copy.

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Step 12

Back to PSP.

Edit - Undo - repeat 1x, so you have the selection back.

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - click Random Seed 1x.

Selections - Select none.

Edit - Copy.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Step 13

Back to PSP.

Edit - Undo - repeat 1x, so you have the selection back.

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - click Random Seed 1x.

Selections - Select none.

Edit - Copy.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

If you want to you can resize your crea.

Animation - Resize animation - 85% or as you like.

Step 14

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

If you are satisfied:

Save your crea as a jpg gif file and you're done!

If you got a screen, click 3x Next - click 1x Finish.
