This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

For this lesson you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugin:

Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Burnt Edges

The tubes are by DragonBlu, Hanni, Mou and StormKloud.

Step 1

Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #8b0000 (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #151717 (or at your choice).

Open a transparent image of 650 x 550 pixels.

Step 2

Selections - Select all.

Copy picture 'wallpaper 001'.

Back to your working image - Paste into the selection.

Selections - Select none.

Step 3

Copy tube 'StormKloud 0070.'

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place her upper right.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 42.

Step 4

Open tube 'mou_thebench'.

Image - Resize - Width 300 pixels.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place her right below.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 2 - Opacity 60 - Blur 6 - color black.

Step 5

Open tube 'Mist_GothicFace_55_DragonBlu0808'.

Image - Resize - Height 400 pixels.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place her upper left - see main image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to about 95.

Step 6

Copy tube 'AH_Dark_Women_2906_08'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place her left below - see main image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Step 7

Image - Add borders - Symmetric checked - 1 pixel - background color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric checked - 20 pixels - foreground color.

Activate your Magic wand - Outside checked - with these settings:

Select the last border with your Magic wand.

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Burnt Edges - with these settings (you can change the colors where you see the arrows):

Selections - Select none.

Step 8

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Step 9

Image - Resize - Width 500 pixels - All layers checked.

Edit - Copy.

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Step 10

Press 1x Ctrl+C - click now 18x Ctrl+L.

You now have 19 frames.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Step 11

Open animation 'skelet37' in AS.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all - Edit - Copy.

Step 12

Activate your main animation.

Edit - Paste - In selected frame.

Click with your left mouse button to place it.

Step 31

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!

If you got a screen, click 4x Next - click 1x Finish.
