This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

For this lesson you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugins:

Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Glass

DSB Flux - Bright Noise

Filers Unlimited 2.0 - &<Bkg Designer sf10I - Corner Half Wrap

MuRa's Meister - Copies

Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow

You can download the plugins

Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.

If you have to install plugins, you have to restart your PSP, so they work immediately.

you can download the materials.

It contains: 1 tube - 1 color image - 1 brush - 1 mask.

Place the mask in your Mask folder.

Export the brush in PSP to custom brushes.

The brush is by Astrid - you can find her side

The tube is by Nikita.

If you use other colors, play a little with the Blend mode.

Step 1

Open the tube and the color image in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #fefff1 (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #d50100 (or at your choice).

Open a transparent image of 1000 x 650 pixels.

Step 2

Selections - Select all.

Copy tube '13228389510_noel_nikita'.

Paste into the selection.

Selections - Select none.

Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling - default settings.

Effects - Plugins - MuRa's Meister - Copies - Wall Paper(shrink) - with these settings:

Adjust - Blur - Motion blur: 40 - 100.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Step 3

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with your foreground color.

Layers - New mask layer - From image - find mask '0_97be3_1d64e9bc_L' - with these settings:

Layers - Merge - Merge group.

Move the layer up against the upper edge.

Layers - Duplicate - Image - Flip.

You image should look like this:

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 1 - Opacity 60 - Blur 20 - color black.

Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling - with these settings:

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - &<Bkg Designer sf10I - Corner Half Wrap - see image below:

Close this layer.

Step 4

Layers - New raster layer.

Activate your Brush tool - find brush 'Astrid penseel' - with these settings:

Stamp the brush with your foreground color left below.

Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror - Image - Flip.

Layers - Arrange - Move down.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Step 5

Layers - New raster layer.

Activate your Selection tool - Star 1.

Draw a small star in the upper left corner - see image below:

Flood fill the selection with your foreground color.

Selections - Select none.

Effects - Plugins - MuRa's Meister - Copies - Wall Paper(rotate) - with these settings:

If you are not satisfied, change the 'Number 20' until you are.

Step 6

Layers - New raster layer.

Activate your Selection tool - Circle.

Draw a small circle in the upper left corner - see image below:

Flood fill the selection with your background color.

Selections - Select none.

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Glass.

Click tab Settings - click 'Clear' - click OK.

Effects - Plugins - MuRa's Meister - Copies - Wall Paper(rotate) - same settings as before.

If you are not satisfied, change the 'Number 20' until you are.

Layers - Merge - Merge down.

Rename this layer 'star'.

Step 7

Copy tube '13228389510_noel_nikita'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 1 - Opacity 40 - Blur 3 - color black.

Step 8

Activate the star layer.

Effects - Plugins - DSB Flux - Bright Noise - with these settings:

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Step 9

Back to PSP - click Undo 1x.

Effects - Plugins - DSB Flux - Bright Noise - change the number of Intensity - click OK.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Step 10

Back to PSP - click Undo 1x.

Effects - Plugins - DSB Flux - Bright Noise - change the number of Intensity - click OK.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Animation - Resize animation - Width 850 pixels.

Step 11

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!

If you got a screen, click 3x Next - click 1x Finish.
