This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this lesson you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugins:

Adjust - Variations

Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow

Nik Software - Color Efex 3.0 Complete

You can download the plugins

Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.

If you have to install plugins, you have to restart your PSP, so they work immediately.

It contains: 3 tubes - 1 mask - 1 animation.

 

The tubes are by Guismo and Pascale.

The other tubes are unknown to me.

Step 1

Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #f3f3fc (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #2a3b45 (or at your choice).

Open a transparent image of 750 x 500 pixels.

Flood fill your image with your foreground color.

Step 2

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with your background color.

Effects - Plugins - Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow - default settings.

Layers - Load/save mask - Load mask from disk - load mask 'Brujita_navidad_0006' - with these settings:

Layers - Merge - Merge group.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 2 - Opacity 60 - Blur 8 - foreground color.

Effects - Edge effects - Enhance more.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Step 3

Effects - Plugins - Adjust - Variations.

Click 1x Original - click 1x Darker - see image below:

Step 4

Copy tube 'Christmas ornamant blue ball_@el'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 90% - All layers not checked.

Place them to the left - see main image.

Step 5

Open tube 'cal_guis_05_09_2008_mist'.

Image - Resize - 300 pixels - All layers not checked.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Open tube 'cal_guis_05_09_2008_mist'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it in the left corner behind the first one - see main image.

Change the Blend mode of this layer to Soft light.

Step 6

Make sure you're on the layer of the Christmas ball.

Selections - Select all.

Selections - Float - Selections - Defloat.

Activate layer 2.

Selections - Invert.

Press Delete.

Selections - Select none.

Step 7

Copy tube 'Pascale_151108_Woman_Snow 450 groot'.

If you use your own tube, maker her Width 450 pixels.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place her left below.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Step 8

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Stepp 9

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 5 pixels - background color.

Effects - Plugins - Nik Software - Color Efex 3.0 Complete - Tonal Contrast - see image below:

Edit - Copy.

Step 10

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Click 1x Ctrl+C - click now 2x Ctrl+L.

You now have 3 frames.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Step 11

Open animation 'mds10931 Star Bling by MDS' in AS.

Edit - Select all.

Animation - Resize animation - 125 pixels.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all - Edit - Copy.

Step 12

Activate your main animation.

Edit - Paste - In selected frame.

Place the star in the star of the Christmas tree - see main image.

Step 10

Animation - Resize animation - Width 750 pixels.

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!

If you got a screen, click 3x Next - click 1x Finish.

Step 11
