Christmas Story

This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.
For this lesson you need Animation Shop
and the following plugins:
AFS Import - Splitdis (you have to import this plugin in Filters Unlimited
2.0)
Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Nature - Icicles
Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Perspective Shadow
Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation
You can download the plugins
Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.
If you have to install plugins, you have to restart your
PSP, so they work immediately.
you can download the materials.
It contains: 19 tubes - 1 picture - 1 pattern - 1 color label.
Place the pattern in your pattern folder.
The tubes are by Bieke, M. Loullou, Nikita and Nini.
The other tubes are unknown to me.

Step 1
Open the tubes and the pictures in PSP - minimize them for now.
Set your foreground color to #e7eaef (or at your choice).
Set your background color to #a9bac4 (or at your choice).
Set your foreground to gradient 'Foreground-background' -
Rectangle - Angle 1 - Repeats 1 - Invert checked - Vert and Hor to 50.
Step 2
Open the template in PSP - this will be your working image.
Close all the layers except Raster 1.
Flood fill this layer with your gradient.
Selections - Select all.
Copy tube 'image noel_glass1' - Paste into the selection.
Selections - Select none.
Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling - with these settings:
Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling - default settings.
Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - [AFS IMPORT] -
Splitdis - with these settings:
Step 3
Layers - New raster layer.
Selections - Select all.
Copy tube 'rand sneeuw' - paste into the selection.
Selections - Select none.
Step 6
Open tube '1228382379_paysages' - click Shift+D to duplicate it.
Minimize the original tube.
Activate the duplicate tube - remove the watermark.
Edit - Copy.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place it right below, against the edge.
Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.
Step 7
Copy tube 'ffondneige2'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place it totaly to the right until you only see the half of the tree - see main image.
Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.
Move this tree a little down - see main image.
Step 8
Copy tube 'Sneeuw1'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.
Put the snow on a nice place.
You also can use one (of all) of the other snow tubes.
Step 9
Open and activate Raster 4.
Selections - Select all.
Selections - Float - Selections - Defloat.
Flood fill the selection with your gradient.
Open tube '1252518497_noel' - click Shift+D to duplicate it.
Minimize the original tube.
Activate the duplicate tube - remove the watermark.
Edit - Copy.
Paste into the selection.
Selections - Select none.
Step 10
Open and activate Raster 11.
Set your background to pattern 'silverpipes' - Angle 0 - Scale 100.
Open and activate Raster 8.
Selections - Select all.
Selections - Float - Selections - Defloat.
Flood fill the selection with your silver pattern.
Change the Blend mode of this layer to Multiply.
Selections - Select none.
Image - Rotate - Free rotate - Rechts - 45 - see image below:
Place it on the left side.
Step 11
Copy tube 'Sneeuw 1'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place it in the middle, over Raster 8.
Now it's standing beautiful behind.
Step 12
Open and activate Raster 5.
Selections - Select all.
Selections - Float - Selections - Defloat.
Copy picture 'image_noel_glass3'.
Paste into the selection.
Selections - Select none.
Step 13
Copy tube 'kerst verhaal'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place it in the middle of Raster 5 - see main image.
Layers - Merge - Merge down.
Place it on the left side, so you can still see the house.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Nature - Icicles - with these
settings:
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Perspective Shadow - with
these settings:
Step 14
Copy tube 'Nini_Tube_Startree3'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Image - Resize - 105% - All layers not checked.
Place the tree on the right side - see main image.
Layers - Duplicate.
Layers - Merge - Merge down.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:
Vert and Hor 3 - Opacity 40 - Blur 4 - color black.
Step 15
Copy tube '12479955078_femmes_nikita'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place her on the right side - see main image.
Layers - Duplicate.
Layers - Merge - Merge down.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.
Step 16
Copy tube 'Maan'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place the moon upper right.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.
Step 17
Copy tube 'bisontine_noelchic_element1'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place them up until the first one reaches the moon.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.
Place this layer below Raster 5.
Activate your top layer.
Step 18
Copy tube 'Lantaarnpaal'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place it left below.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.
Step 19
Copy tube '1293385507_enfants_Nikita'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Image - Resize - 2x with 80% and 1x with 90% - All layers not checked.
Place him left below - see main image.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.
Step 20
Copy tube '1287054605_noel_nikita'
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Image - Resize - 90% - All layers not checked.
Place her on the sled.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Copy tube 'wordart'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place the text on top of your image.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.
Change the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).
Add your name and/or watermark.

Activate the tree layer.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - with these
settings:
Edit - Copy special - Edit - Copy merged.
To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.
Step 23
Back to PSP - click 1x Undo.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - click 1x Random
Seed - click OK.
Edit - Copy special - Edit - Copy merged.
To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.
Step 24
Back to PSP - click 1x Undo.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - click 1x Random
Seed - click OK.
Edit - Copy special - Edit - Copy merged.
To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.
Edit - Select all.
Step 25
Animation - Resize animation - Width 850 pixels.
Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!
If you got a screen, click 3x Next - click 1x Finish.
