This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this tutorial you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugin:

Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow

Place or install the plugin in your Plugin folder.

 

you can download the materials.

It contains: 5 tubes - 1 mask - 1 font.

Open the font and minimize it.

The tubes are by Daantje, MtM and MMDesignz.

The mask is by Brujita.

Step 1

Open the tubes and the mask in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #fefefe (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #9aa6aa (or at your choice).

Open a transparent image of 750 x 550 pixels.

Flood fill your image with your background color.

Step 2

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with your foreground color.

Layers - New mask layer - From image - find mask 'Brujita_mask_0016' - with these settings:

Layers - Merge - Merge group.

Step 3

Layers - New raster layer.

Selections - Select all.

Copy tube 'Element22'.

Paste into the selection.

Selections - Select none.

Set the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).

Step 4

Copy tube 'MMDesignz_Si143179'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Adjust - Hue and saturation - Colorize: 9 - 41.

Or use your own H and S.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 65.

Step 5

Copy tube 'fantasy-vrouw-007'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place her on the right side - see main image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

Step 6

Copy tube 'Mtm_Bloemen 169- Art A[1].S-22 sept 2006'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 85% - All layers not checked.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

Step 7

Open tube '37' (feathers).

Image - Resize - Height 400 pixels.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Move them a little to the left - see main image.

Step 8

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

You now can replace the tubes if you want.

Step 9

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels - color #b39d96.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels - foreground color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 20 pixels - color #b39d96.

Select this border with your Magic wand - with these settings:

Effects - Plugins - Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow - with these settings:

Effects - 3D effects - Inner bevel - with these settings:

Selections - Select none.

Step 10

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels color #b39d96.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels foreground color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels color #b39d96.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 40 pixels foreground color.

Edit - Copy.

Step 11

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Click Ctrl+C - click now 10x Ctrl+L.

You now have 11 frames.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Step 12

Back to PSP.

Open a new transparent image of 275 x 100 pixels.

Activate your Text tool - font Confetti Stream (or at your choice) - Size 36 - see image below:

Switch your colors and type 'Magic Mirror' - or your own text.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 2 - Opacity 100 - Blur 1 - color black.

Layers - Merge - Merge visible.

Save your text as a PSP file or as an Animation shop file.

Step 13

Open your text in AS.

Effects - Insert image transition - Effect Morph - with these settings:

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all - Edit - Copy.

Step 14

Back to your main animation.

Edit - Paste - Into selected frame.

Place the text where you like it - or see main image.

Step 15

Animation - Frame properties - 23.

Click in frame 1 - Frame properties 100.

Edit - Select all.

Step 16

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

If you are satisfied:

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!
