This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this tutorial you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugins:

Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow

MuRa's Meister - Cloud

You can download the plugins

Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.

 

you can download the materials.

It contains: 9 tubes - 1 brush - 1 animation.

Export the brush in PSP by Custom brush to your Brush folder.

Step 1

Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #b99549 (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #4a3413 (or at your choice).

Open a transparent image of 750 x 550 pixels.

Flood fill your image with your background color.

Effects - Plugins - MuRa's Meister - Cloud - with these settings:

Step 2

Copy tube 'NS_33_0409'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Move it on the left side a little up.

Layes - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.

Step 3

Activate your Selection tool - Rectangle - with these settings:

Draw a selection round the church tower - see image below:

Press Delete.

Selections - Select none.

Step 4

Copy tube 'mds10628 Cityscape at Night Fot_'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Make sure the trees are almost against the house.

Step 5

Copy tube '@nn_030309_photos_Sylvia_tdstudio'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it in the lower right corner a little of the edges.

Activate your Eraser - with these settings:

Erase the sides of the head of the woman, so you can see the windows and the lantern again.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - of your choice.

Step 6

Copy tube 'cal-guis-mistplum11102008 270'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it on the backside of the woman - see main image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

Step 7

Open tube 'mou_music mann'.

Image - Resize - Height 140 pixels.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place him on the piano.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

Step 8

Open tube 'bs_aal_that_jazz_TbS'.

Image - Resize - Height 250 pixels.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place him upper left - see main image.

Set the Opacity of this layer to 55.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

Step 9

Open tube 'rdgm~aa-fashion-003'.

Image - Resize - Height 260 pixels.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Put her on a nice place.

Step 10

Copy tube 'Jazz'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 3x 80% - All layers not checked.

Place him down and a little to the right.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

Step 11

Layers - New raster layer.

Activate your Brush tool - find brush 'dancetext' - these settings:

Stamp it 1 or 2x with the color of your choice in your crea - see main image - or at your choice.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

You still can replace the tubes until you like it.

Step 12

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Step 13

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 1 pixel - foreground color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 3 pixels - background color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 1 pixel - foreground color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 20 pixels - background color.

Select the last border with your Magic wand - with these settings:

Effects - Plugins - Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow - default settings.

Selections - Select none.

Step 14

Add borders - Symmetric - 1 pixel - foreground color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 3 pixels - background color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 1 pixel - foreground color.

Edit - Copy.

Step 15

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Click 1x Ctrl+C - click now 2x Ctrl+L.

You now have 3 frames.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Step 16

Open animation 'muzieknotengif' in AS.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all - Edit - Copy.

Step 17

Back to your main animation.

Edit - Paste - Into selected frame.

Place the notes near the instruments - see my example.

Repeat: Edit - Paste - Into selected frame if you want to add more notes.

Step 18

Animation - Frame properties - 25.

Step 19

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

If you are satisfied:

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!

If you got a screen, click 3x Next, click 1x Finish.

Name it and save it.
