This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this lesson you need the following plugins:

AFS Import - KookGI *

Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation.

Photo Killer from slosh.net - please clayify *

VM Extravaganza - Shoutin't

The plugins with a *, I had to import them in Unlimited 2.0

You can download the plugins

Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.

If you have to install plugins, you have to restart your PSP, so they work immediately.

It contains: 4 tubes - 1 image - 1 gradient.

Place the gradient in your Gradient folder.

 

The tubes are by Tony Chavarria (Tocha).

Step 1

Open the tubes in PSP and image - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #cec2ce.

Set your background color to #531f45.

Open a transparent image of 1000 x 650 pixels.

Set your foreground to gradient 'Foreground-background' - Sunburst - with these settings:

Find gradient 'Winter Walks-FK' - see image below:

Flood fill you image with this gradient.

Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 50.

Layers - Merge - Merge down.

Step 2

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with your gradient.

Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 50.

Layers - Merge - Merge down.

Step 3

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Photo Killer from slosh.net - please clayify - with these settings:

Effects - Custom plugin - Emboss_3 - with these settings:

Effects - Plugins - VM Extravaganza - Shoutin't - default settings - see image below:

Step 4

Activate your Magic wand - Outside checked - with these settings:

Click with your Magic wand in the white area.

Press Delete.

Selections - Select none.

Step 5

Copy tube 'Tocha24101'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Step 6

Copy tube 'Tocha24105'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place her a little to the left.

(Do the parts below also with the other tube layers, otherwise they stick to the layers.)

In you layer palette - click on the '1' - see image below:

When you click on the '1', you will see that there is now 'none' - see image below:

Image - Resize - 1x with 80% and 1x with 90% - All layers not checked.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 3 - Opacity 60 - Blur 5 - color black.

Step 7

Copy tube 'Tocha24102'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 2x with 80% - All layers not checked.

Place it totaly to the left - see main image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Step 8

Copy tube 'Tocha24106'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 1x with 80% and 1x with 90% - All layers not checked.

Place it totaly to the right - see main image.

Image - Rotate - Free rotate - Right - 30.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Step 9

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Step 10

Activate layer 1 (the layer with the stripes).

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - with these settings:

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Step 11

Back to PSP - Click 1x Undo.

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - click Random Seed 1x - click OK.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Step 12

Back to PSP - Click 1x Undo.

Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - click Random Seed 1x - click OK.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Step 13

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

If you are satisfied:

Animation - Resize animation - Width 600 pixels (optional).

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!

If you got a screen, click 3x Next - click 1x Finish.
