This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this tutorial you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugins:

AAA Frames - Foto Frame

Adjust - Variations

Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow

Ulead Effects - GIF-X 2.0

You can download the plugins

 

Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.

 

you can download the materials.

It contains: 6 tubes - 1 background - 1 font.

Open the font and minimize it.

 

Permission to use the tubes

 

The tubes are by Animabelle, Guismo, Linde PSP Design and Sonia.

The other tubes are unknown to me.

Step 1

Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #dbc6c3 (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #23090c (or at your choice).

Open a transparent image of 1000 x 650 pixels.

Selections - Select all.

Copy image 'raster 1'.

Back to your working image - Paste into the selection.

Step 2

Effects - Plugins - Ulead Effects - GIF-X 2.0 - (if it's not working just select all before you add the plugin) - click on Light - see image below:

Click now on Gallery - you now got this screen - click on Light bulb 4 - see image below:

Click OK.

Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling - default settings - see image below:

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Step 3

Copy tube '11_halloween_animabelle'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it on the right side, a little down.

Set the Opacity of this layer to 69.

Set the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).

Step 4

Copy tube 'huizen'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place the houses in the upper left corner.

Make sure the first house is a little of the side - see main image.

Step 5

Copy tube 'LF_Woman halloween'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Set the Opacity of this layer to 34.

Activate layer 1 - Layers - Arrange - Bring to top.

Step 6

Copy tube 'calguiscrow16102011'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 70% - All layers not checked.

Place it in the upper right corner.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 80.

Step 7

Copy tube 'Aves_0026'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 70% - All layers not checked.

Place it in the lower left corner.

So you just can see the bird - see main image.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 32.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Edit - Copy.

Step 8

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 50 pixels - background color.

Select this border with your Magic wand - with these settings:

Edit - Paste into the selection.

Selections - Invert.

Effects - Plugins - Adjust - Variations - click 1x Original - click 1x Darker - see image below:

Effects - Plugins - AAA Frames - Foto Frame - with these settings:

Selections - Select none.

Step 9

Copy tube 'WordArt Magnifique Ger'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it right below - see main image.

Step 10

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Edit - Copy.

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Step 11

Back to PSP.

Activate your Freehand selection - Point to point.

Draw a selection around the glass of the lamppost.

Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Brightness/contrast - 14 - 15 - see image below:

Selections - Select none.

Edit - Copy

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Step 12

Back to PSP - click Undo 2x.

Adjust - Brightness and Contrast - Brightness/contrast - 14 - 17.

Selections - Select none.

Edit - Copy

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Step 13

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

If you are satisfied:

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!
