This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this tutorial you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugin:

Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow

You can download the plugin

Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.

It contains: 6 tubes - 1 color label - 1 silver pattern - 2 backgrounds (achtergronden).

Step 1

Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #cce3ff (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #182029 (or at your choice).

Set your foreground to gradient 'Foreground-background' - Linear - Angle 135 - Repeats 7 - Invert not checked - see image below:

Open a transparent image of 900 x 600 pixels.

Effects - Plugins - MuRa's Meister - Cloud - with these settings:

Step 2

Layers - New raster layer.

Selections - Select all.

Copy tube 'NS_239_0809'.

Paste into the selection.

Selections - Select none.

Move it a little to the left.

Set the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).

Step 3

Copy tube 'MMC_APR2008_041'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 92% - All layers not checked.

Image - Mirror.

Place her on the right side against the edge.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 3 - Opacity 65 - Blur 6 - background color.

Step 4

Copy tube 'SKF_CryingEye132[1].07'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Move it a little to the left - see main image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Step 5

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels - color red.

Select this border with your Magic wand - with these settings:

Set your background to silver pattern 'silverbeads fill - Angle 0 - Scale 100.

Flood fill the selection with this pattern.

Selections - Select none.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 3 pixels - foreground color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels - color red.

Select this border with your Magic wand.

Flood fill the selection with your silver pattern.

Selections - Select none.

Step 6

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 40 pixels - background color.

Select this border with your Magic wand.

Flood fill the selection with your gradient.

Effects - Plugins - Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow - default settings.

Step 7

Copy tube 'AntiqueFrame'.

Paste as into the selection.

Effects - 3D effects - Inner bevel - Glow - or with these settings:

Selections - Select none.

Step 8

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge visible.

Step 9

Open tube 'Waterdruppels' - next I call them tears:

Activate your selection tool - Rectangle - Add - with these settings:

Make a selection to the 4th tear - see image below:

Copy the tear.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Step 10

Back to PSP.

Move the tear a little down.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Step 11

Back to PSP.

Move the tear also a little down.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Repeat this step until you are here - see image below:

Step 12

Back to PSP.

Make a selection around the 3rd tear - see image below:

Copy the tear.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Step 13

Back to PSP.

Move the tear a little down.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Repeat this step until you are here - see image below:

Step 14

In AS: Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Animation - Frame properties - 28.

Step 15

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

If you are satisfied:

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!

If you got a screen, click 3x Next - click 1x Finish.

Name it and save it.
