This tutorial was made in PSP 19, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this tutorial you need the following plugins:

Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow and Waffle

MuRa's Meister - Perspective Tiling

Nik Software - Color Efex Pro 3.0 Complete

Simple - Mirror - Pizza and Slice

VanDerLee - Unplugged-X

You can download the plugins

Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.

If you have to install plugins, you have to restart your PSP, so they will working right away.

It contains: 8 tubes - 1 color label - 1 font.

Open the font and minimize it, or load fonts by Tool of font FXplorer and it's in your font in PSP.

The tubes are by Ed Steampunk, Isa and St. Coeur.

The other tubes are unknown to me.

Step 1

Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #bf701b (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #4e5526 (or at your choice).

Set your foreground to gradient 'Foreground-background' -

Sunburst - Angle 45 - Repeats 0 - Invert not checked.

Open tube 'Alpha_Steampunk' - Shift+D to Duplicate it.

Close the original, the copy is your working image.

Flood fill your image with your foreground color.

Step 2

Selections - select all.

Copy tube 'fantasy013'.

Paste into the selection.

Selections - Select none.

Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling - default settings.

Adjust - Blur - Radial blur - with these settings:

Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling - default settings.

Effects - Plugins - Simple - Pizza Slice Mirror.

Effects - Plugins - Simple - Top Left Mirror.

Step 3

Layers - Duplicate.

Image - Resize - 70% - All layers not checked.

Image - Rotate - Free rotate - Left - 90 - nothing checked.

Effects - Plugins - Simple - Half Wrap - see image below:

Layers - Duplicate.

Effects - Plugins - MuRa's Meister - Perspective Tiling - with these settings:

Step 4

Activate layer 2.

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with your gradient.

Effects - Plugins - Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Waffle - with these settings:

Effects - Texture effects - Blinds - color black - with these settings:

You now have this:

Step 5

Activate your top layer.

Selections - Load/save selection - Load selection from disk - load selection 'Selectie 1' - default settings.

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with your gradient.

Effects - Plugins - Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Waffle.

Selections - Select none.

Step 6

Effects - Plugins - VanDerLee - Unplugged-X - Defocus: 4 - see image below:

Effects - Plugins - VanDerLee - Unplugged-X - Defocus: 10 - see image below:

Effects - Distortion effects - Lens distortion - preset 'Pin cushion' - with these settings:

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 0 - Opacity 50 - Blur 10 - color black.

Step 7

Activate layer 1.

Copy tube 'Steampunk27-Bouche'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 80% - All layers not checked.

Change the Blend mode of this layer to Overlay.

If you use other colors, you have to play with the Blend mode.

Step 8

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 5 pixels - foreground color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 3 pixels - background color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric not checked - background color - with these settings:

Select this border with your Magic wand - with these settings:

Effects - Plugins - Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow - default settings - see image below:

Selections - Invert.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 0 - Opacity 60 - Blur 40 - color black.

Repeat Drop shadow 1x with the same settings.

Selections - Select none.

Step 9

Copy tube 'fantaisy013'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 80% - All layers not checked.

Place her on the left side.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

Step 10

Copy tube 'st_27_coeur_globe'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it right below - see main image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

Step 11

Copy tube 'ED_Steampunk_Colors_48'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it upper right - see main image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

Step 12

Activate your Text tool - font Elephant - Size for PSP 9 = 28 - Vertical - with these settings:

Switch your colors - close your foreground color.

For other PSP versions you have to add the size.

Type 'Steampunk' or your own text.

Pull it a little to the right side.

Layers - Convert to raster layer.

Selections - Select all.

Selections - Float - Selections - Defloat.

Activate your Selection tool - Rectangle - with these settings:

Activate your tube layer.

Draw a square from the tube that you like - or see image below:

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new image.

Set your foreground to this pattern or to the pattern already in the zip - Angle 0 - Scale 100.

Flood fill your text with your pattern.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert 0 - Hor 10 - Opacity 50 - Blur 5 - color black.

Step 13

Copy tube 'Element Steampunk'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it on the left side - see main image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

Step 14

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Effects - Plugins - Nik Software - Color Efex Pro 3.0 Complete - Tonal Contrast - with these settings:

Save your crea as a jpg file and you're done!
