This tutorial was made in PSP X9, but can also be made in the other versions.
This lesson Succesful 2013 is rewritten and adjust on
October 3 to Succesful 2019.
For this lesson you need Animation Shop (AS)
and the following plugins:
Adjust - Variations
Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact - Extrude
Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation
MuRa's Meister - Cloud
VM Natural - Sparkle
You can download the plugins
Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.
If you have to install plugins, you have to restart your
PSP, so they work immediately.
 you can
download the materials.
It contains: 8 tubes - 1 picture - 1 font - 1 plugin (EC5-Impact-Extrude).
Double click on the preset and it's directly in
EC5-Impact-Extrude.
Open the font and minimize it, or load fonts by Tool of font FXplorer and it's in your font in PSP.
(Just place the plugin in your plugin folder and restart PSP.)
The tubes are by AnaRidzi, Colacao, Hebe, Gerrie, LB and
Nikita.

Step 1
Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.
Set your foreground color to #bdb390.
Set your background color to #403b27.
Open tube 'AlfaSuccesful 2019 Magnifique' - this is your
working image.
Effects - Plugins - MuRa's Meister - Cloud - default settings
- see image below:
Step 2
View - Rulers.
Make a selection as shown below:
Effects - Plugins - VM Natural - Sparkle - with these
settings:
Selections - Select none.
Step 3
Layers - New raster layer.
Selections - Select all.
Copy tube 'Resille'.
Back to your working image.
Paste into the selection.
Selections - Select none.
Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling - Next to each other
- with these
settings:
Effects - Distortion effects - Polar coordinates - with
these settings:
Step 4
Copy tube 'mistedpaisajes174_ByHebe'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Layers - Merge - Merge down.
Adjust - Hue and saturation - Colorize: 33 - 44.
Step 5
Activate your Freehand selection - Point to point - Mode to Add (Shift) -
with these settings:
Select the windows in your background - see image below:
Layers - New raster layer.
Copy picture 'AnaRidzi96'.
Back to your working image.
Paste into the selection.
Selections - Select none.
Change the Blend mode of this layer to Hard light.
Layers - Merge - Merge down.
Close this layer for now.
Step 6
Activate your bottom layer.
Effects - Plugins - Adjust - Variations.
Click 1x Original - click 1x Darker or what looks best
with your crea:
Step 7
Activate and open your top layer.
Copy tube 'colacao_copa'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place it left below - see mand image.
Step 8
Layers - New raster layer.
Selections - Load/save selection - Load selection from
Alpha channel - load selection 'Selection 1' - see image below:
Flood fill the selection with your background color.
Copy tube 'Nikita'.
Back to your working image.
Paste into the selection.
Selections - Select none.
Adjust - Hue and saturation - Colorize: 33 - 44.
Effects - Image effects - Offset - with these settings:
Step 9
Make sure you're on your top layer.
Copy tube '2578 - couple - LB TUBES'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place it right below.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:
Vert 1 - Hor 0 - Opacity 65 - Blur 0 - color black.
Your layer palette looks like this:
Step 10
Activate your Text tool - font C_Box (in PSP ChocolateBox)
- Size 24 - background color - see image below:
for PSP 9 - Size 40:
Type 'Happy New Year'.
Layers - Convert to raster layer.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact -
Extrude - use preset 'Succesful 2019 Magnifique' - with these settings:
Image - Rotate - Free rotate - Left - 10 or at your
choice.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:
Vert and Hor 1 - Opacity 100 - Blur 1 - color black.
Step 11
Activate your Text tool - font C_Box - Size 48.
For PSP 9 it is Size 84.
Layers - Convert to raster layer.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact -
Extrude - use preset 'Succesful 2019 Magnifique' - same settings as before.
Place the '2' on the left side of the clock.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as the last
time.
Step 12
Activate your Text tool - font C_Box - same settings as
before.
Type the number '1'.
Place it on the right side of the clock.
Layers - Convert to raster layer.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact -
Extrude - use preset 'Succesful 2019 Magnifique' - same settings as before.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as the last
time.
Step 13
Activate your Text tool - font C_Box - same settings as
before.
Type the number '9'.
Place it on the right side of the clock.
Layers - Convert to raster layer.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Impact -
Extrude - use preset 'Succesful 2019 Magnifique' - same settings as before.
Place the 9 next to the 1 - see main image.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as the last
time.
Step 14
Open tube 'pspmagnifiqueGerrie tekst en vuurwerk'.
Decorate your crea at your own choice.
Step 15
Layers - New raster layer.
Add your name and/or watermark.
Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).
Step 16
Activate your Freehand selection - Point to point - Mode to Add (Shift)
Feather and Tolerance to 0.
Make a selection around the dress of the woman - see image below:
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - with these settings:
Selections - Select none.
Edit - Copy.
To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.
Step 17
Back to PSP - click Undo 2x, till you have the selection back.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - click Random Seed 1x - click OK.
Selections - Select none.
Edit - Copy.
To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.
Step 18
Back to PSP - click Undo 2x, till you have the selection back.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - click Random Seed 1x - click OK.
Selections - Select none.
Edit - Copy.
To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.
Step 19
Back to PSP - click Undo 2x, till you have the selection back.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - click Random Seed 1x - click OK.
Selections - Select none.
Edit - Copy.
To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.
Step 20
Back to PSP - click Undo 2x, till you have the selection back.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Constellation - click Random Seed 1x - click OK.
Selections - Select none.
Edit - Copy.
To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.
You now have 5 frames.
Step 21
In AS: Edit - Select all.
Animation - Frame properties: 15.
The lower the number the faster the animation.
Step 22
View - Animation.
You now can see how your animation looks.
If you are satisfied:
Animation - Resize animation - Width 800 pixels.
Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!
If you got a screen, click 3x Next - click 1x Finish.
