Ups Halloween

This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this lesson you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugins:

Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Paper Textures

FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss

It contains: 5 tubes - 1 picture - 1 mask - 1 animation tube.

Place the mask in your Mask folder.

 

The tubes are by Cindy Grundsten, Mentali and Natalie Bird.

Step 1

Open the tubes and the picture in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #ba7127 (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #371705 (or at your choice).

Open a transparent image of 650 x 550 pixels.

Flood fill your image with your background color.

Step 2

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with your foreground color.

Layers - Load/save mask - Load mask from disk - load mask 'Narah_Nature002' - with these settings:

Layers - Merge - Merge group.

Effects - Plugins - FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss - default settings.

Step 3

Open tube 'SSHalloween6'.

Image - Resize - Width 542 pixels.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 8 - Opacity 40 - Blur 8 - black.

Set the Blend mode of this layer to Soft light.

Step 4

Copy tube 'Image7'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it right below - see main image.

Step 5

Open tube 'mentali-insecte'.

Image - Resize - Width 254 pixels.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it in the upper right corner.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Step 6

Open tube 'mou_ups_halloween'.

Image - Resize - Width 450 pixels.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place her down and a little to the right - see main image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Step 7

Open tube 'NatalieBird_Stars_5'.

Image - Resize - Width 461 pixels.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Place the stars in the upper left corner.

Step 8

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Step 9

Image - Add borders - Symmetric checked - 1 pixels - foreground color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric checked - 20 pixels - background color.

Activate your Magic wand - Outside checked - with these settings:

Select the last border with your Magic wand.

Set your foreground to gradient 'Foreground-background' - Linear - Repeats 3 - Invert not checked - Horizontal 0 - Vertical 1.

Flood fill the selections with this gradient.

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Paper Textures - Japanese Paper - default settings.

Step 10

Selections - Invert.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 8 - Opacity 40 - Blur 8 - black.

Repeat with Vert and Hor to -8 (minus 8).

Selections - Select none.

Edit - Copy.

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Step 11

Click 1x Ctrl+C - click 2x Ctrl+L (the letter l).

You now have 3 frames.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Step 12

Open animation 'BlingHalloween8_G_PTR' in AS.

Click in frame 1 - press Delete.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Animation - Resize animation - Width 152 pixels.

Edit - Copy.

Step 13

Back to your main animation.

Edit - Paste - In selected frame.

Put it on a nice place.

Step 14

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

Click View - Animation again to end the animation.

If you are setisfied:

If you want you can resize your animation:

Animation - Resize animation - Width 500 pixels.

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!

If you got a screen, click 3x Next - click 1x Finish.
