This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this lesson you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugins:

Eye Candy 3.01 - Glow

Filters Unlimited 2.0 - &<Bkg Kaleidoscope>

You can download the plugins

Place or install the plugin in your Plugin folder.

If you have to install plugin, you have to restart your PSP, so they work immediately.

It contains: 8 tubes.

 

The tubes are by Leny, Pixel and Sorensen Design.

The other tubes are unknown to me.

Step 1

Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #e7ebef (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #7c96ab (or at your choice).

Open a transparent image of 900 x 600 pixels.

Set your foreground to gradient 'Foreground-background' - Radial: Angle 1 - Repeats 1 - Invert not checked - Horizontal 78 - Vertical 55

Flood fill your image with this gradient.

Step 2

Effects - Reflection effects - Rotating Mirror - with these settings:

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - &<Bkg Kaleidoscope> - Radial Replicate - with these settings:

Step 3

Layers - New raster layer.

Selections - Select all.

Copy tube 'Leny-dingen52' - Paste into the selection.

Selections - Select none.

Change the Blend mode of this layer to Soft light.

Effects - Edge effects - Enhance more.

Step 4

Copy tube 'NS_173_0212_09'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place him right below.

Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.

Image - Resize - 80% - All layers not checked.

Place him on the left side in the middle, so you can almost not see the bear.

Change the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).

Step 5

Copy tube 'zeehblauw pixel'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 80% - All layers not checked.

Place him left below.

Change the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).

Step 6

Copy tube 'Iglo'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 90% - All layers not checked.

Put it on a nice place.

Layers - Arrange - Move down.

Step 7

Copy tube 'Ijsblokjes'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.

Place them nicely against each other.

Activate your top layer.

Step 8

Copy tube 'Zeeleeuw'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 3x with 80% - All layers not checked.

Put him on a nice place.

Step 9

Copy tube 'ijs beertjes klein'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Put them on the right side.

Step 10

Copy tube 'Sorensen_Designs_Tube_Nov_181-10'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 90% - All layers not checked.

Place her before the igloo.

Step 11

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Step 12

Pack to PSP.

Activate the woman's layer.

Activate your Freehand selection - Point to point - with these settings:

Zoom in so you can see what you have to select.

Draw a selection around the star in the woman's hand - see image below:

Effects - Plugins - Eye Candy 3.01 - Glow - with these settings:

Selections - Select none.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Step 13

Back to PSP.

Click Undo until you have only the selection.

Effects - Plugins - Eye Candy 3.01 - Glow - same settings as before.

Selections - Select none.

Edit - Copy special - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Step 14

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

If you are satisfied:

Image - Resize - Width 600 pixels (optional).

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!
