This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this lesson you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugin:

Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow

You can download the plugin

Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.

If you have to install plugins, you have to restart your PSP, so they work immediately.

Step 1

Open the tubes, the color label and the mask in PSP.

Resize them and minimize them for now.

Adjust - Sharpness - Unsharp mask: 1 - 64 - 4.

Set your foreground to #92a951 - or at your choice.

Set your background to #741d62 - or at your choice.

Set your foreground to gradient 'Foreground-background' - Radial - with these settings:

Step 2

Open tube 'achtergrond'.

This is your working image.

Copy tube 'Tocha2337'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling - default settings - see image below:

Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling - preset 'next to each other' or with these settings:

Layers - Merge - Merge visible.

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian blur - 10.

Step 3

Copy tube 'anna.br_sempre-vivas_24-07-10'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Move it a little up - see main image.

Step 4

Layers - New raster layer.

Set your foreground to gradient - Radial - with these settings:

Activate your Flood fill tool - Opacity 50.

Flood fill this layer with this gradient.

Layers - New mask layer - From image - find mask 'masque 00111' - with these settings:

Layers - Merge - Merge group.

Effects - Edge effects - Enhance.

Step 5

Copy tube 'Accent tube raam1'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it in the upper right corner.

Step 6

Copy tube '@nn_100609_bloem_aronskelk_tdstudio'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 90% - All layers not checked.

Place the flower left below - see main image.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 2 - Opacity 65 - Blur 2 - color black.

Step 7

Copy tube 'Tocha2337'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 90% - All layers not checked.

Image - Mirror.

Place her at the bottom of your image, a little to the right.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Step 8

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels - background color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels - foreground color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels - background color.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels - foreground color.

Step 9

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 20 pixels - background color.

Activate your Magic wand - Outside checked - with these settings:

Select the last border with your Magic wand.

Activate your Flood fill tool - Opacity 100%.

Flood fill the selection with your gradient.

Effects - Plugins - Greg's Factory Output Vol. II - Pool Shadow - default settings.

Selections - Invert.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 7 - Opacity 65 - Blur 10 - color black.

Repeat with Vert and Hor to minus 7.

Selections - Select none.

Step 10

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Edit - Copy.

Step 11

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Click 1x Ctrl+C - klik now 3x Ctrl+L.

You now have 4 frames.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Step 12

Open animation 'vlinderblue' in AS.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all - Edit - Copy.

Step 13

Back to your main animation.

Edit - Paste - In selected frame.

Put it on a nice place or see main image.

Edit - Paste - In selected frame.

Put this butterfly on a different place.

Step 14

Animation - Frame properties - 30.

Step 15

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

If you are satisfied:

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!

If you got a screen, click 3x Next - click 1x Finish.
