It contains: 6 tubes - 1 background - 1 pattern - 1 font.

Place the pattern in your Pattern folder.

Open the font - minimize it.

 

** Step 1 **

Open the 'achtergrond moon'.

Layers - Promote background layer to raster layer.

Layers - New raster layer.

Layers - Arrange - Move down.

Flood fill this layer with color #553421.

Save this crea as a PSP-image.

Activate the top layer.

 

** Step 2 **

Layers - New raster layer.

Open pattern 'patroonsteen'.

Click on your Selection tool - Custom selection - with these settings:

Go to material properties - activate tab pattern - choose pattern 'patroonsteen' - Angle 0 - Scale 130.

Flood fill the selection with this pattern.

Deselect.

Activate your Selection tool - Feather 6.

Go right along the bottom of the wall and click once on delete, so that the bottom is a little blurred.

Selections - Select none.

 

** Step 3 **

Copy tube 'window - Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it to the right side, in the middle of the wall you just made.

 

** Step 4 **

Copy tube 'sintenpiet'

paste as a new layer on your working image.

Move it so, that he falls over the wall, so that the horse (left) of Sinterklaas still can be seen.

Make sure the horse is slightly off the edge, because soon there will be another edge along and it would be a shame if the horse is lost completely.

Activate your Eraser - Size 20 - Hardness 18 - Opacity 6.

Erase a little bit away from the tree and the gravel - see images below:

Now see if the window is similar to the window of your other picture.

 

** Step 5 **

If everything is oke, activate the window layer.

Activate your Magic wand - Mode to Add, Tolerance and Feather 0.

Click in the four parts, so that they all 4 are selected.

Selections - Modify - Expand - 3 pixels.

Layers - New raster layer.

Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout - with these settings:

Selections - Select none.

Layers - Arrange - Move down.

Close this layer.

 

** Step 6 **

Activate the window layer - click with your Magic wand outside the window.

Selections - Invert.

Selections - Modify - Contract - 7 pixels.

Activate the wall layer.

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with color #dd8848.

 

** Step 7 **

Layers - New raster layer.

Copy tube 'bijdeschoorsteen'.

Paste into the selection.

Don't deselect.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 70.

 

** Step 8 **

Activate the window layer.

Layers - New raster layer.

Selections - Modify - Expand - 5 pixels.

Selections - Modify - Select selection borders - Both sides - 2 pixels - Anti-alias checked.

Layers - New raster layer.

Effects - 3D Effects - Cutout - Vert and Hor 1 - Opacity 70 - Blur 4.

Selections - Select none.

Lower the Opacity of the selection border to 45.

 

** Step 9 **

Activate the layer 'bijdeschoorsteen'.

Copy tube 'vsc_BigEyedChild4'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 6x with 80% - All layers not checked.

Place him on the right place at the window.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 90.

Activate the window layer.

Click with your Magic wand (Feather 0) outside the window.

Selections - Modify - Expand - 10 pixels.

Activate the boy's layer - press delete.

Selections - Select none.

 

** Step 10 **

Open the layer you closed in step 3.

Close the top layer and the 3 bottom layers.

Now you have only the window layers with the image open (7 layers if all went well).

Layers - Merge - Merge visible.

Open all layers.

 

** Step 11 **

Activate the top layer.

Copy tube 'dakrand'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place the roof on the wall - see main image.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

 

** Step 12 **

Selections - Select all.

Image - Add borders - 1 pixel - color #3d9c5d

(or a light color that fits your image).

Selections - Invert.

Effects - 3D Effects - Inner bevel - with these settings:

 

** Step 13 **

Selections - Select all.

Image - Add borders - 15 pixels - a different color.

Selections - Invert.

Choose a dark color from your image that fits your light color, I choose color #154c28.

Set your foreground to gradient 'Foreground-background' - Linear - Angle 45 - Repeats 3 - Invert not checked.

Flood fill the selection with this gradient.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

 

** Step 14 **

Selections - Select all.

Image - Add borders - 1 pixel - color #3d9c5d

(or a light color that fits your image).

Selections - Invert.

Effects - 3D Effects - Inner bevel - same settings as before.

 

** Step 15 **

Selections - Select all.

Selections - Modify - Contract - 17 pixels.

Selections - Invert.

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 5 - Opacity 50 - Blur 10 - color black.

Repeat with Vert and Hor to -5 (minus 5).

Selections - Select none.

Add your name or watermark.

Image - Resize - 680 pixels Width.

 

** Step 16 **

Open font 'Action Jackson' - minimize it.

Activate your Text tool in PSP - find your font - Size 36 - Stroke width 0 - Create as Vector.

Set your foreground to color #4e321c.

Set your background to color #0e0201.

Type a nice appropriate text.

Layers - Convert to raster layer.

Click with your Magic wand (Feather 0) outside the letters.

Click also in the middle of the letters R, D and O.

Selections - Invert.

Selections - Modify - Contract - 1 pixel.

 

** Step 17 **

Layers - New raster layer.

Layers - Arrange - Move down.

Flood fill the selection with your foreground color (Chocolate brown).

Effects - Texture effects - Blinds: 2 - 40 - Hor not checked - color light brown.

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 0 - Opacity 50 - Blur 10 - color black.

Put the text in a nice place.

Layers - Merge - Merge down.

 

** Step 18 **

Activate your Selection tool - Freehand selection - Point to point - Feather 0 - , van punt tot punt doezelen 0 - Flowing 2.

Go around the hand of 'Sinterklaas':

Promote selection to layer.

Selections - Select none.

Activate the layer below.

With your Cloning tool you get away the hand (even the shadow of the hand).

Just click right above the hand and go straight but careful down again.

If you move the mouse, the frame is no longer nice and straight.

Try for yourself what is the most convenient, you can also click under the hands and working upwards.

Close the 2 hand layers so you can see it better.

When you've finished, activate the layer of the back hand (the layer above).

Effects - 3D Effects - Drop shadow:

Vert 4 - Hor 7 - Opacity 70 - Blur 10 - color black.

Layers - Duplicate - repeat 1x.

Activate the top hand layer.

Image - Rotate - Free rotate - Left - 15 - nothing checked.

Move the hand a little, so that it's nicely aligned with the hand underneath.

Activate the lower hand (the second layer).

Image - Rotate - Free rotate - Right - 15 - nothing checked.

 

** Step 19 **

Open Animation Shop

Open 'touwpietpsp' in AS (or by Windows Explorer/My Computer choose to open with AS).

Click on frame 7 - Copy.

Paste it 3x after active frame (you now have 16 frames).

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all (CTRL+A).

 

** Step 20 **

Back to PSP.

Close the second and third layer, so only the top layer and the bottom layer are open.

Copy merged (CTRL, Shift and C).

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

 

** Step 21 **

Back to PSP.

Close the top layer - Open the second layer from the top.

Edit - Copy merged.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame (CTRL, Shift+L).

Back to PSP.

Close the hand layer - Open the en open the second layer.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

 

** Step 22 **

Now select these 3 frames and copy them.

Click on the last frame (only this one is edged blue).

Edit - Paste - After current frame - you now have 6 frames.

Click on frame 6 - Paste after active frame - you now have 9 frames.

Now you click on the first frame, so that only this one is edged blue.

Copy - click on frame 9 - Paste after current frame.

Keep doing this until you have 16 - when you did it right, your have to do it still 7 times.

 

** Step 23 **

Click in frame 1 of 'Zwarte Piet' (CTRL+A).

Edit - Select all - Edit - Copy.

Back to your creation.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all (Ctrl+A).

Make sure that the first frame is visible.

Paste the 'Zwarte Piet' in selected frame (CTRL+E).

Place 'Zwarte Piet' so, that the rope just touches the roof - see main image.

Click on frame 10 - Animation - Frame properties - 50.

Click on frame 16 - Animation - Frame properties - 100.

 

** Step 24 **

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.
