Harlekina, thank you very much for your permission that I may translate your tutorials.

Unfortunately her site is no longer online.

At the special request of a dear friend, I have written this lesson Out of Picture.

For this lesson you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugin:

Andromeda - Perspective

You can download the plugin

This lesson was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

you can download the materials.

It contains: 1 picture - see image below:

** Step 1 **

Open the picture or your picture in PSP.

Copy it with Shit+D - repeat 1x.

Work with one copy - minimize the other - close the original image.

Selections - Select all.

Image - Add borders - 20 pixels - color from your picture.

Selections - Invert.

Choose 2 nice colors from your picture.

Set your foreground to gradient 'Sunburst' - Repeats 1 - Invert not checked.

Flood fill the border with this gradient.

Effects - 3D effects - Inner bevel - with these settings:

Selections - Select none.

Layers - Convert your background to raster layer.

Layers - Duplicate - close this layer for a moment.

** Step 2 **

Activate your bottom layer.

Activate your Clone brush:

Click with your right mouse button in the part of your image your want to clone.

Set to start the size at 50 and try whether is suits, is it too small or too big, you have to change the size.

You will see a circle with a cross in it in the place you want to clone:

Click with your left mouse button on the part you want to remove, so later when with your duplicate want to cut.

Below you see the original picture and one that I have partly cloned:

Right-click again on another part of the picture, take for example a whole bush or whenever an entire leaf.

If you left-click on the figure, then you see the circle with the cross in it moving, so you can see exactly what you are going to clone.

If you come to close to the figure you want out of the picture, click again on another spot in the picture.

Below you see my example after cloning:

You can see that the figure is now in a complitely natural way eliminated.

You can do the same with the fairy in the picture .

** Step 3 **

Are you satisfied with the result, close this layer for a moment.

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with a different color, so you can see better what you remove in the picture.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Open and activate your top layer.

Activate your Freehand selection - Feather 1 - Fluent 1 - try what you like most - Replace mode.

you will find a lesson tubing.

Do you want to use the little fairy, than also cut her nicely.

After cutting the fairy, I cut her and paste her as a new layer.

Remove the middle layer, you don't need it anymore if you're finished with cutting the picture.

If you want to try both methods, duplicate your image first and then save each image as a Pspimage.

** Step 4 **

Method 1

Open and activate your bottom layer, who is still closed.

Image - Resize - 90% - All layers not checked.

Effects - Plugins - Andromeda - Perspective.

Click first on Reset - after that on Presets - see image below:

Choose floors - with the arrows you can up or down to find the right perspective - see image below:

Click also on Freeform (a little under floors), there are very nice forms there.

Have you made your choice - click on the checkmark.

Click again on the checkmark to confirm your choice.

** Step 5 **

Activate your Move tool.

Move the picture a little down.

Activate the tube layer.

Image - Resize - 85% - All layers not checked.

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

Place the tube in the middle of the frame or, if you use an other picture, at about the same place where it was in the picture.

Did you also cut the little fairy, place her on a nice place too.

Save your image as PNG optimalisation.

Or continue making the animation as discribed at the bottom of this lesson.

Method 2

** Step 6 - 1 **

If you did well, you duplicated the picture.

Activate the copied image (from step 3).

Activate the bottom layer.

Image - Resize - 80% - All layers not checked.

Activate your Distortion tool (D) - you are going to distort the picture.

You see a square on all corners and

you see squares in the middle of the lines.

Hold the Shift key and puss the square in the upper left corner to the right.

You only see the upper left corner moves:

** Step 6 - 2 **

Do the same with the right side.

Hold the Shift key and puss the square in the upper right corner to the right.

Your image should look like this:

Release the Shift key - hold your left mouse key and click in the middle of your picture.

Move it a little to the left.

Now you have some space to distort the right part some more.

** Step 6 - 3 **

Hold the Shift key again - pull the upper right part a bit more to the right.

Do the same with right below, but now to the left and left below also a little to the left.

You can play with the corners until you are satisfied with the result.

Do you want to distort more, hold the Shift key.

Do you want to resize of to replace the picture, release the Shift key.

My final result looks like this:

** Step 6 - 4 **

Press the M key on your keyboard to go back to your Move tool

Set the tube on the right place.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - at your choice.

Add your name or watermark.

Save your crea as PNG optimalisation.

Close the black background layer.

Save your picture as a PSPimage - or Animation image.

** 5 **

In Animation Shop (AS).

Open your crea in AS.

Back to PSP.

Activate your image with the tube.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Edit - Copy.

Click in the last frame.

Animation - Frame properties - 100.

** 7 **

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

If you are satisfied:

Save your animation as a gif file and you're done!.

Hint: usually, the animation is not so pretty with a transparent background, especially with this animation.

Give your animation a background in the color of your site or forum where you want to put it.

Or choose an other different matching color.

I choose for a black background, because this page is also black.

I hope you enjoyed making this animation :-)

I would appreciate it, if you put your creation in my Guestbook.

Please make sure that it's not greather than 500 pixels on the longest side.

The creations that stand out in my Guestbook, I will put them in the slideshow on my site.
