For this lesson you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugins:

Andromeda - Perspective

It contains: 4 tubes - 1 brush - 1 images - 1 mask.

Place the brushes in your Brush folder.

Place the mask in your Mask folder.

** Step 1 **

Just incase the plugin Digital Anarchy - Backdrop Designer isn't working, I have add the background (named 'achtergrond').

Open a transparent image of 600 x 520 pixels.

Effects - Plugins - Digital Anarchy - Backdrop Designer - see image below:

Click right with shadow on Load - choose Texture Clouds - see image below:

Click after that on Jupiter Moon - see image below:

(With the left bar you can choose the category and the right bar shows the preset in that category.

Click on the V right below to confirm.

At texture you can also choose for Clouds and Jupiter Moon.)

 

** Step 2 **

If you are satisfied with the result, click upper right on the V.

Note: It takes a while before the plugin is loaded.

So don't panic and don't shut PSP down, just waite until the plugin is loaded!!

Under Texture and Shadow you can see the word 'Edit', click on it and takes these settings:

 

** Step 3 **

Layers - New raster layer.

Layers - Arrange - Move down.

Set your foreground color to #623d34.

Set your background color to #fde573.

Set your foreground to gradient 'Foreground-background' - Linear - Angle 0 - Repeats 0 - Invert not checked.

Flood fill the layer with this gradient.

Activate the layer above it.

Set the Blend mode to Luminance (L).

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 50.

Layers - Merge - Merge down.

 

** Step 4 **

Open tube 'Faries' - activate the faries layer .

Layers - Merge - Merge down.

Now the faries and the wings are merged.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 2x 80% - All layers not checked - repeat 1x with 90%.

Effects - Plugins - Andromeda - Perspective.

Click first on Reset - click then on Preset - see image below:

Click on 'Side walls' (nr.1) - click now on 'lt shift' (nr. 2) - see image below:

Click now on the small picture after nr.1 - click now on the small image after nr.2 - click now on the small image after nr. 3 - see image below:

Click 2x on the V to confirm.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert -10 (minus 10) - Hor 5 - Opacity 50 - Blur 10 - black.

 

** Step 5 **

Activate your Freehand selection - Point to point - Feather 0.

Select the bottom along the wooden wall - see image below:

Press Delete a few times, so the green part will disappears.

Make sure that the shoes of the faries remain visible.

Do the same with the left side of the wall.

Place the picture upper right.

 

** Step 6 **

Copy tube 'burcht'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it upper left on your image.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 90.

Layers - Arrange - Move down.

 

** Step 7 **

Activate your top layer.

Copy tube 'fairy'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 90% - All layers not checked.

Place her right below.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Layers - Arrange - Move down.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

 

** Step 8 **

Selections - Select all.

Image - Add borders - 35 pixels - color #623d34.

Selections - Invert.

Activate your gradient - Angle 45 - Repeats 1 - Invert not checked.

Flood fill the selection with this gradient.

Effects - Plugins - Balder Olrik - Harmonizer 2 - default settings.

Effects - 3D effects - Inner bevel - with these settings:

Selections - Select none.

 

** Step 9 **

Copy tube 'Peter-Pan'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 2x 80% - All layers not checked.

Place him at the bottom of your image on the edge of the frame.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Add your name or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Image - Resize - Width 680 pixels.

 

** Step 10 **

Layers - Duplicate - repeat 1x, so you have 3 layers.

Zoom in so you can see the eyes of the fairies very good.

Activate your Smear tool - with these settings:

Lubricate carefully the eyes of the fairies on the wall.

If you have done them all, close this layer.

Activate the second layer.

Lubricate carefully the eyes of the fairies on the wall.

If you have done them all, close this layer.

 

** Step 11 **

If you really want to do it beautiful, then just do as I have done.

Select carefully the lashes of open eyes (feather 1), paste as a new layer and flip.

You have to close all layers, otherwise you can't find the lashes, because they are so small.

Place the lashes on the closed eye of the fairy you copied them from.

Lot's of work but with a very beautiful result.

 

** Step 12 **

The animation.

Copy the bottom layer.

To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.

Back to PSP.

Copy the top layer.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Select both frames - Edit - Copy.

Click in the last frame - Edit - Paste - After active frame.

You now have 4 frames.

Click in frame 3 - Edit - Copy.

Click in the last frame - Edit - Paste - After active frame.

 

** Step 13 **

Animation - Frame properties - 200.

Back to PSP.

Copy the middle layer.

To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.

Animation - Frame properties - 50.

 

** Step 14 **

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

If you are satisfied:

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!
