This tutorial was made in PSP X2, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this lesson you need the following plugin:

Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Buttons & Frames

You can download the plugin

 

Place or install the plugin in your Plugin folder.

It contains: 2 tubes - 1 mask - 1 silver pattern.

Place the mask in your Mask folder.

Place the pattern in your Pattern folder.

 

The tubes are by Lexis and Marcio C.

The mask is by Brujita.

Step 1

Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #ffffff (or at your choice).

Set your background color to #000000 (or at your choice).

Open a transparent image of 650 x 500 pixels.

Flood fill your image with your background color.

Layers - New raster layer.

Flood fill this layer with your foreground color.

Layers - Load/save mask - Load mask from disk - load mask 'Brujita' - with these settings:

Layes - Merge - Merge group.

Step 2

Copy tube 'lexis-MistedM04'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place her on the left side - see my example.

Step 3

Open tube 'mc1254'.

Activate your Eraser.

Erase every thing but not the 2 birds.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 50% - All layers not checked - repeat 1x.

Place them as you like.

Set the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).

Layes - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

This part was easy, wasn't it!

Step 4

Now you are making the border.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 15 pixels - background color.

Edit - Copy.

Paste as a new image.

Effects - 3D effects - Photo effects - Black white film - with these settings:

Edit - Copy.

Minimize this image for now.

Step 5

Back to your first crea.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 50 pixels - foreground color.

Select this border with your Magic wand.

Paste in to the selection (the image you just copied).

Selections - Invert.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert 5 - Hor 7 - Opacity 100 - Blur 30 - color black.

Selections - Select none.

Step 6

Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Buttons & Frames - Glass Frame 1 - with these settings:

Repeat Effects - Plugins - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Buttons & Frames - Glass Frame 1 - with these settings: 65 - 128.

Layers - New raster layer.

Selections - Select all.

Selections - Modify - Contract - 2 pixels.

Selections - Invert.

Flood fill the selection with your silver pattern.

Selections - Select none.

Step 7

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Step 8

Save your crea as a jpg file and you're done!
