For this tutorial you need Animation Shop (AS)
and the following plugins:
Alien Skin Eye Candy 5: Nature -
Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Special Effects 1
Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow
ScreenWorks - Close Knit

Place or install the plugins into your Plugin folder.
 you can download the materials.
It contains: 1 color label - 3 tubes - 1 brush - 1 animation.
The tubes are by Leny, PSP Devil and Sassydeb.

Step 1
Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.
Set your foreground color to #445b73.
Set your background color to #38454c.
Reserve color is #b81904.
Open a transparent image of 820 x 620 pixels.
Flood fill your image with your background color.
Step 2
Layers - New raster layer.
Selections - Select all.
Copy tube 'Leny-halloween34'.
Paste into the selection.
Selections - Select none.
Image - Resize - 115% - All layers not checked.
Effects - Texture effects - Blinds - color black - with these
settings:
Lower the Opacity of this layer to 80.
Step 3
Layers - New raster layer.
Flood fill this layer with your foreground color.
Effects - Plugins - Filter Unlimited 2.0 - Special Effects 1 -
Jailes! - with these settings:
Activate your Magic wand - Mode to Add (Shift) - Tolerance to
0 - Feather to 1.
Click all the foreground color boxes.
Press Delete.
Selections - Select none.
Image - Resize - 75% - Bicubic - All layers not checked.
Step 4
Activate your Selection tool - Rectangle - Feather to 0.
Select the outer half bar.
Press Delete.
Do the same on the other side.
You now have 10 bars.
Count 5 bars from left en select them - see image below:
Step 5
Edit - Cut.
Selections - Select none.
Edit - Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place the bars left below and right below - see main image.
Layers - Merge - Merge down.
Step 6
Close the layers 1 and 2.
Activate your Freehand selection - draw a triangle on the top
of the bars - see image below:
Press Delete.
Selections - Select none.
Do the same with the other bars.
Adjust - Hue and saturation - Brightness - with these
settings:
Step 7
Effects - Plugins - Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow - with these
settings:
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:
Vert and Hor minus 5 - Opacity 65 - Blur 10 - color black.
Open the layers 1 and 2.
Step 8
Activate layer 2.
Copy tube 'Blue Mystery-tubed by A PSP Devil'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Image - Resize - 70% - All layers not checked.
Place the tube right below.
Make sure you can the jewel remains visible - see main image.
Adjust - Hue and saturation - Colorize: 148 - 65.
Lower the Opacity of this layer to 80.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:
Vert and Hor minus 5 - Opacity 65 - Blur 10 - foreground color.
Step 9
Copy tube 'SpiralCrucifiedVampire~Henning~Sassydeb'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place the tube on the left side, make sure the face is next to
a bars - see main image.
Layers - Duplicate.
Activate the original tube.
Change the Blend mode of this layer to Screen.
Activate now the copy layer.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:
Vert and Hor minus 0 - Opacity 45 - Blur 10 - color white.
Step 10
Layers - New raster layer.
Add your name and/or watermark.
Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).
Step 11
Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels - color black.
Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 4 pixels - color #808080.
Select this border with your Magic wand.
(You have to use this color, otherwise the filter doesn't work
so nice.)
Effects - Plugins - ScreenWorks - Close Knit.
Selections - Select none.
Image - Add borders - Symmetric - 2 pixels - color black.
Step 12
Layers - New raster layer.
Set your background color to your 3rd color (red).
Activate your Brush tool - find brush 'Leny-crucifiedvampire'
- Size 300.
Stamp it 1x with your background color at the bottom and in
the middle of the bars - see main image.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:
Vert and Hor minus 5 - Opacity 65 - Blur 10 - color white.
Step 13
Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).
Edit - Copy.
To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.
Step 14
Click 1x Ctrl+C - click now 9x Ctrl+L.
You now have 10 frames.
Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.
Step 15
Open animation 'Leny-vleermuis'.
Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all - Edit - Copy.
Step 16
Back to your main animation.
Edit - Paste - Into selected frame.
Place the bat upper right on the branch of the tree.
Step 17
Click in frame 10.
Animation - Frame properties: 30.
If you want you can resize your crea to Width 500 pixels.
Step 18
View - Animation.
You now can see how your animation looks.
If you are satisfied, save your crea as a gif file and you're done!
