For this tutorial you need Animation Shop (AS)
and the following plugins:
Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Lightning
Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow
MuRa's Meister - Perspective Tiling
You can download the plugins
Place or install the plugins into your Plugin folder.
 you can download the materials.
It contains: 1 color label - 6 tubes - 1 mask - 3 selection.
Place the selections in your Selection folder.
The tubes are by Banjo.
The mask is by JHR.

Step 1
Open the tubes and the mask in PSP - minimize them for now.
Set your foreground color to #e05a1e.
Set your background color to #000000.
Open a transparent image of 850 x 600 pixels.
Flood fill your image with your foreground color.
Step 2
Layers - New raster layer.
Flood fill this layer with black.
Layers - New mask layer - From image - find mask
'hjr_mask_texture001' - with these settings:
Layers - Merge - Merge group.
Step 3
Copy tube 'ghostly_house_banjo'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Image - Resize - 105% - All layers not checked.
Place the tube totaly to the right.
Step 4
Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.
Layers - Merge - Merge down.
Change the Blend mode of this layer to Luminance (L).
Lower the Opacity to 56.
Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).
Step 5
Layers - Duplicate.
Effects - Plugins - MuRa's Meister - Perspective Tiling -
color #e05a1e - with these settings:
Effects - Plugins - Graphics Plus - Cross Shadow - with these
settings:
Step 6
Copy tube 'bats'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place the bats upper left.
Layers - Duplicate - Image - Mirror.
Layers - Merge - Merge down.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:
Vert and Hor 1 - Opacity 85 - Blur 1 - foreground color.
Step 7
Layers - New raster layer.
Selections - Load/save selection - Load selection from disk -
load selection 'L-selectie58' - with these settings:
Copy tube 'witch_redcape'.
Back to your working image.
Paste into the selection.
Selections - Select none.
Lower the Opacity of this layer to 82.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:
Vert and Hor minus 6 - Opacity 50 - Blur 25 - color white.
Step 8
Layers - New raster layer.
Selections - Load/save selection - Load selection from disk -
load selection 'L-selectie57' - same settings as before.
Copy tube 'pomp'.
Back to your working image.
Paste into the selection.
Selections - Select none.
Lower the Opacity of this layer to 90.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.
Step 9
Copy tube 'head'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Place the head near the pomp, a little over the bucket.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.
Step 10
Copy tube 'moon'.
Paste as a new layer on your working image.
Lower the Opacity of this layer to 58.
Move the moon up and a little to the left - see main image.
Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.
Step 11
Layers - New raster layer.
Add your name and/or watermark.
Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).
Step 12
Selections - Select all.
Selections - Modify - Contract - 2 pixels.
Selections - Invert.
Flood fill the border with your foreground color.
Selections - Select none.
Step 13
Selections - Load/save selection - Load selection from disk -
load selection 'L-selectie56' - same settings as before.
Effects - Plugins - Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Lightning - click
tab Settings, choose Distant Lightning - and with these settings - see image
below:
  
Selections - Select none.
Edit - Copy.
To AS: Edit - Paste - As a new animation.
Step 14
Back to PSP.
Click Undo 2x.
Repeat plugin Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Lightning - same settings
- click 1x Random Seed.
Selections - Select none.
Edit - Copy.
To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.
Step 15
Back to PSP.
Click Undo 2x.
Repeat plugin Alien Skin Xenofex 2 - Lightning - same settings
- click 1x Random Seed.
Selections - Select none.
Edit - Copy.
To AS: Edit - Paste - After current frame.
If you want you can resize your crea to Width 600 pixels.
Step 16
View - Animation.
You now can see how your animation looks.
If you are satisfied, save your crea as a gif file and you're done!
