This tutorial was made in PSP X3, but can also be made in the other versions.

 

For this lesson you need a gold pattern of your choice

and the following plugins:

FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss

VDL Adrenaline - Snowflakes

You can download the plugins

 Place or install the plugins in your Plugin folder.

 

you can download the materials.

It contains: 6 tubes.

 

The tubes are by Adrienne, Git and Mamanouche.

The other tubes are unknown to me.

Step 1

Open the tubes in PSP - minimize them for now.

Set your foreground color to #000000 - or at your choice.

Set your background color to #eb1927 - or at your choice.

Set your foreground to gradient 'Linear' - with these settings:

Open a transparent image of 640 x 450 pixels.

Flood fill this image with your gradient.

Step 2

Layers - New raster layer.

Copy tube 'frame'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Activate your Magic wand - Feather and Tolerance to 0.

Click in one of the 6 boxes.

They are all selected now.

Activate the bottom layer.

DON'T DESELECT!

Effects - Texture effects - Blinds - with these settings:

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 2 - Opacity 50 - Blur 2 - color black.

Selections - Select none.

Step 3

Activate your top layer.

Activate your Preset shape - find Heart 1 (or at your choice) - with these settings:

Set your foreground to your gold pattern - Angle 0 - Scale 100.

Set your background color to #eb1927.

Draw a heart on the left side of your crea - see image below:

You can pull it out if necessary, by pulling the little squares.

Layers - Convert to raster layer.

Selections - Select none.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Activate your Magic wand - click in the inside of the heart.

Effects - 3D effects - Texture effects - Blinds - with these settings:

Step 4

Copy tube 'cheeks'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Mirror.

Image - Resize - 6x 90% - All layers not checked.

Place his/her head in the heart.

Step 5

Layers - Duplicate.

Activate the original head layer.

Effects - Plugins - FM Tile Tools - Blend Emboss - default settings.

Layers - Merge - Merge down.

You can still move it if you want.

Step 6

Copy tube 'strikje'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it on top of the heart and in the middle.

Step 7

Copy tube 'WhiteCrocus1_Mist~AFR'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Mirror.

Place it in the lower left corner.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 65.

Step 8

Copy tube 'romantic_letter'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 90% - All layers not checked.

Place it against the right edge - see main image.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 38.

Layers - Arrange - Move down - repeat 2x.

Step 9

Activate your top layer.

Copy tube 'hartje'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 2x 75% - All layers not checked.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow - same settings as before.

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

Place this heart in the right bar - see main image.

Step 10

Layers - Duplicate - repeat 1x.

Place these hearts where you like them.

See if you can still read the text :-)

Step 11

Selections - Select all.

Selections - Modify - Contract - 3 pixels.

Effects - Plugins - BorderMania - Frame #2 - with these settings:

Step 12

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Save your crea as a jpg file and you're done!
