This tutorial was made in PSP 9, but can also be made in the other versions.

It contains: 2 tubes - 2 brushes - 1 gradient - 3 selections.

If you have placed everything in it's folder, you can start :-)

 

Step 1

Set your foreground color to #010080.

Set your background to a gold pattern.

Open a transparent image of 600 x 450 pixels.

Layers - New raster layer.

Click on your Selection tool - Rectangle.

Custom selection:

with these settings:

Flood fill the selection with your foreground color.

Effects - Texture effects - Blinds - with these settings:

Selections - Select none.

Step 2

Layers - New raster layer.

Custom selection - with these settings:

Flood fill the selection with your foreground color.

Effects - Texture effects - Blinds - same settings, but now Horizontal checked.

Selections - Select none.

Layers - Merge - Merge down.

Name this layer bg 2 (or background 2).

Activate the bottom layer.

Flood fill with black - name this layer bg 1.

Activate your Magic wand - with these settings:

Activate your top layer.

Click in the black part.

Step 3

Layers - New raster layer.

Name this layer gold.

Selections - Modify - Select selection borders - with these settings (here you see the selection already filled with the gold pattern)

Flood fill the selection with your gold pattern.

Selections - Select none.

Step 4

Click with your Magic wand in the upper right corner.

Flood fill with gradient "Nachtblau" - Linear - Angle 90 - Scale 0 - Invert not checked.

Selections - Select none.

Click with your Magic wand in the below left corner.

Flood fill with your gradient.

Same settings - but Invert checked.

Step 5

Layers - New raster layer.

Name this layer right.

Selections - Load/save selection - Load selection from disk - load selection "Nachtblau 1".

Flood fill the selection with your gold pattern.

Selections - Modify - Contract - 1 pixel.

Flood fill with your gradient - Invert not checked.

Selections - Modify - Expand - 1 pixel.

Edit - Copy.

Step 6

Layers - New raster layer.

Name this layer right 2.

Paste into the selection.

Image - Mirror.

Image - Resize - 80% - All layers not checked.

Selections - Select none.

Step 7

Layers - New raster layer.

Selections - Load/save selection - Load selection from disk - load selection "Nachtblau 2".

Flood fill with your gold pattern.

Selections - Modify - Contract - 1 pixel.

Flood fill with your gradient - Invert checked.

Selections - Modify - Expand - 1 pixel.

Edit - Copy.

Step 8

Layers - New raster layer.

Name this layer right 3.

Paste into the selection.

Image - Mirror.

Image - Resize - 80% - All layers not checked.

Selections - Select none.

Selections - Load/save selection - Load selection from disk - load selection "Nachtblau 3".

Step 9

Layers - New raster layer.

Name this layer image.

Flood fill with your gold pattern.

Selections - Modify - Contract - 1 pixel.

Flood fill with color #00003b.

Effects - Texture effects - Blinds - same settings, but Horizontal not checked.

Close all layers, except the 3 right layer.

Merge this 3 layers visible.

Step 10

Layers - Duplicate.

Image - Resize - 55% - All layers not checked.

Layers - Arrange - Bring to top.

Open all layers (layers - image - all layers).

Make sure that they are in the middle of the little image.

Step 11

Layers - New raster layer.

Activate your Brush tool - find brush "D_Text".

Stamp it with your gold pattern in the smaller rectangles - see image below:

Erase carefully everything what's over the golden edge.

As you can see on the image, I have used an other brush on the underlying rectangles named "fslightning".

It's also with the materials, in case you want to use it.

Step 12

Layers - New raster layer.

Stamp this brush also with your gold pattern.

Erase carefully everything what disturbed you at the edges.

Layers - Duplicate.

Image - Mirror - Image - Flip.

Step 13

Copy tube "DBTranquilHeartz".

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Image - Resize - 60% - All layers not checked.

Click with your Magic wand outside the woman.

Selections - Modify - Expand - 1 pixel.

Step 14

Layers - New raster layer.

Name this layer womangold1.

Flood fill with your gold pattern.

Layers - Arrange - Move down.

Layers - Duplicate.

Name this layer womangold2.

Effects - Distortion effects - Wind - with these settings:

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 45.

Effects - Edge effects - Enhance more.

You do the same with the layer womangold1, but now Left checked.

Lower the Opacity of this layer to 45.

Effects - Edge effects - Enhance more.

Step 15

Activate your Pen tool - Line style to Plain - Width 2.

Draw a few lines as you like.

Draw a few short lines as you like (I did it with my selection tool).

Step 16

Copy the Sterntube.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place the star as you like.

I have duplicated it a few times and changed the size.

I decorated the image with them.

Step 17

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or.

Save your crea as a jpg file and you're done!
