For this lesson you need Animation Shop (AS)

and the following plugin:

PhotoEffex - Scanlines

You can download it

 

you can download the materials.

It contains: 2 tubes - 1 picture - 1 font.

Open the font and minimize it.

 

You need 5 images of your own.

 

Step 1

Open the tubes, the picture and your own pictures in PSP.

Shift+D to duplicate them - close the originals.

Open picture 'Afbeelding 1'.

* Layers - New raster layer.

Select the upper rectangle with your Magic wand - see image below:

Copy your first photo or image.

Back to your working image - paste into the selection.

Selections - Select none. *

Repeat from * to *, but select every time an other rectangle and fill it with an other image or photo, until all the rectangles are filled.

(Note: don't close your images or photo's, you do need them later.)

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

 

Step 2

Copy tube 'vonrand'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place it against the left edge.

Layers - Duplicate.

Image - Rotate - Free rotate - with these settings:

Move it to the right, against the edge.

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen.

Erase on the left side, the little part that's over the side edge.

 

Step 3

Activate your Text tool - font Poster - Size - 32 - color black.

Type your text and place it in the upper left corner - see my example.

Layers - Convert to raster layer.

Give your text a Drop shadow of your choice.

Activate your Text tool - a font of your choice - made as Vector - color #a4a4a4 (grey).

Type small texts in the upper left corner - see e my example.

Layers - Convert to raster layer.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

 

Step 4

Click with your Magic wand in the big white area - see image below:

Effects - Plugins - PhotoEffex - Scanlines - with these settings:

Effects - Edge effects - Enhance.

Selections - Select none.

 

Step 5

Copy tube 'tvvon'.

Paste as a new layer on your working image.

Place the tv on a nice place.

Effects - 3D effects - Drop shadow:

Vert and Hor 5 - Opacity 40 - Blur 5 - color black.

Layers - New raster layer.

Add your name and/or watermark.

Layers - Merge - Merge all (Flatten).

Image - Add borders - Symmetric checked - 1 pixel - color black.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric checked - 1 pixel - color white.

Image - Add borders - Symmetric checked - 1 pixel - color black.

Image - Greyscale.

Layers - Duplicate - repeat this until you have 5 layers.

 

Step 6

Activate your top layer.

Activate your Selection tool - Rectangle.

Select the rectangle on the tv - see image below:

A: Copy one of your images or photo's.

Back to your working image - paste into the selection.

DON'T DESELECT!

Close this layer - activate layer 4 (Copy (3) of background) - see image below:

B: Copy an other image or photo.

Back to your working image - paste into the selection.

DON'T DESELECT!

Close this layer - activate layer 3 (Copy (2) of background).

C: Copy an other image or photo.

Back to your working image - paste into the selection.

DON'T DESELECT!

Close this layer - activate layer 2 (Copy of background).

D: Copy an other image or photo.

Back to your working image - paste into the selection.

DON'T DESELECT!

Close this layer - activate layer 1 (background).

E: Copy an other image or photo.

Back to your working image - paste into the selection.

DON'T DESELECT!

Open all layers.

Selections - Select none.

Save your crea as a psp image or as an animation shop image - see image below:

 

Step 7

Open your just saved image in AS.

Click in frame 1 - Edit - Select all.

Animation - Frame properties - 75.

 

Step 8

View - Animation.

You now can see how your animation looks.

If you are satisfied, click:

File - Wizard optimalisation.

Click Next until you get Finish.

Click Finish.

Save your crea as a gif file and you're done!
